| This well exceeded my expectations. For a commercial vac, it was quieter than I expected, light, and very powerful. I found it very comfortable on my back. It mounts just like a good quality backpack you'd go camping with - putting most of the weight on your waist via the velcro belt instead of your shoulders where it would hurt your back. I worked so quickly with this, my bare floor vacuuming was done in about 15 minutes. Another 10 minutes vacuuming dog hair off couches(handled that nicely) and I was done. Amazing! The dirt is easily emptied from the bag although the dog hair seams to want to stay in there. One thing you may find is that there is a Royal model that looks just like this one. I think it is the same unit but pricing at about $100 more. If you compare all the features, including the hypercone patented technology, you'll find they match word for word. So I decided to get it cheaper here and not let the name matter in this case. |
Excellent product, efficient, quick cleaning

| I have only used my vacuum a few times, but so far so good. I have all hard wood floors in my house, but have a dog who sheds a bit. I have always known that using a vacuum gets floors cleaner than sweeping, but I didn't consider a backpack unit as an option for my house until I saw the janitor at work using it in my office. I think this does a great job. I have been using my Ridgid shop vac to do the job for a while, but it's too large to tote around the house. This vac does the job quickly from one outlet for my 2500 sq foot house. The c2401 is great at getting under furniture and the surprisingly simple attachment for upholstry gets dog hair off my sofas in record time. I have always used bags with my shop vac, and have found that they also make a filter bag for this unit. My personal experience is that the bags keep the actual vacuum clean and you then replace only the bag, instead of eventually replacing the reusable bag that is provided with the unit. Over time, the reusable bags degrade and the inside of the vacuum gets dirty. Using the bags, this is avoided and the vacuum itself remains very clean. The quality of this product was surprisingly high. For the weight of the product, I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad. Having not seen it in person, I was concerned that the light weight of the product was being used as an advertising "spin" on a cheap quality product, but, that is not the case at all. The hose, cord, backpack, attachments, and the vacuum itself are all very well made and are of quailty materials. The backpack is well designed; the weight is well distribuited as another reviewer mentioned, not putting stress on the back or neck at all. If you have pets and or hard floors, this unit will impress you, and your back will thank you. |

| When I discovered that backpack vacuums existed, I knew I had to have one. I have a large house that is half tile floor, half berber carpet. I was looking at cannisters, but having to move the cannister around seems like a hassle. I vacuum 5 days a week (shedding dog), so my vacuum needs to be powerful and easy to use. This vacuum is both of those. I find myself vacuuming everything because the backpack is so convenient (window sills, counter tops, shower drains, furniture, etc). The backpack setup definitely looks like you're a ghostbuster, but I think that just makes it fun. |
Love it...Love it...Love it !!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy I ordered this vaccum... it is everything it says !!!
but most of all...it's even more powerful than I expected...
also, I just plug it in once...and vaccum the entire house...
upstairs and down...never having to stop and replug...
I would recommend to everyone!!!! |

I was continually banging my canister vac into my new beautifully plastered walls. I watched my housekeeper try to carry the canister in one hand and the wand in the other -- very awkward. Now I can just strap it on and go. It has a nice long cord and it is easy to swap from the floor attachment to the upholstery tool. It has lots of power and straps on comfortably with a wide low strap.
drawback: I wish it had changeable bags instead of a big filter that needs emptying after each use
and, it is a bit awkward if you just need to bring it out for a small job, but it sits on the floor just fine for these |
